Profile
I'm Marco, a software engineer with over a decade shipping production systems.
I've written systems that run on phones in people's pockets, and systems that quietly answer 5M+ requests a day. I've architected a platform that held 100k+ people at once at the world's largest pop-culture convention, built under pandemic pressure. I've built an internal AI product from scratch for Brazil's biggest beauty company, helping thousands of sales consultants sell more and stay close to their customers. I've also written software that lets a daughter put a photo of herself on a t-shirt for her dad.
I started in front-end. I grew into full-stack - from the PRD to the last pixel. AWS-certified Solutions Architect and Developer, now building AI tooling into everyday delivery.
That's what I do - but none of that was solo. I've led a team, stepped back to stay hands-on, and been the person others come to when the architecture gets hard.

Senior Software Engineer, Engine
Mar 2024 — Present
At Engine, I work across the stack on the main customer-facing application, from the API layer to the interface.
• Part of the team that built the car rental product from scratch, one of the pillars of Engine's move from hotel booking to a full travel platform.
• Building product features end-to-end: React and React Native on the front end, Node.js and Ruby services on the back end, consuming gRPC to integrate across service boundaries.
• Writing end-to-end and mobile test coverage with Playwright and Maestro, keeping releases safe to ship.
Senior Software Engineer, Reserva (AR&Co)
Oct 2022 — Mar 2024
At Reserva (AR&Co), I worked within a dedicated squad on the company's primary app and related products.
• Architected and maintained an API Gateway handling 5M+ requests daily, encapsulating the app's core business logic and scaling with the retailer's e-commerce growth.
• Built and shipped the React Native app alongside the services behind it.
• Led technical decisions for the squad and served as the go-to reference for other developers.

I led a team for a year at Sioux, then chose to step back into hands-on development to keep growing technically.
• Delivered complex web projects with React/Next, Vue/Nuxt and TypeScript across multiple clients.
• Built mobile apps with React Native and set up CI/CD pipelines with Fastlane.
• Built REST and GraphQL APIs with Nest.js.
